You know, the word "epic" has really changed and morphed over the past few years. The connotation it has is so immense now. I realized this a little ago. I was talking to my grandmother, telling her about how The Dark Knight was an epic movie, but she didn't really get it. I guess for her, epic means dramatic, not really the extreme I have for it. For me, epic means the combination of all things that could leave you stunned and bewildered due to awesomeness, whether that be an incredible plot in a movie/anime/videogame, a really good romance in a story, a combination of terrible things that happen to a character to give them the shittiest life ever, yet they power through it. Epic is really just everything that is good in a story that makes you stop and admire the masterpiece that it is.
I feel kinda honored, seeing as how our generation has cornered a word. 60's has groovy, we have epic, but I think epic is better. That being said, I also think epic is the most incorrectly used word ever. (GEE GUYS LOOK AT MYZ EPICZ 360 NOSCOPEZ!11!!! OR MY EPICZ OWNAGES!!11!)
