Pornography sickens me. I'm actually fairly surprised that people spend money on that. Hentai is vile as well. And don't even mention the more bizarre things. They are disgusting. I can tolerate nude art and almost nude women, as long as it isn't displayed in a sexual manner. For real, apparently pornographers are instructed to act like whores in videos. I cannot believe people are attracted to this.

Well, you have to include the whole intimacy thing in that. If sex was just about the good feeling, no one would care about sex, if they could just off themselves whenever. No, sex with another person is also fulfilling on so many emotional levels.
well humans are one of the few creatures that have sex for pleasure
so, while i have never thought of sex as particularly interesting, it is enjoyable and just like chocolate or sleep or ski vacations and most people wish to have more of it
and similar to the way i cannot go skiing this winter, there are men and women all over the world who want to have sex but for whatever reason cannot find a partner

Yes. I do agree with that everyone sees different things. I was directing alot of that towards Guardian. He calls it 'vile' and 'disgusting' which borderlines 'inhumane'. When it's not inhumane and judging something so ambiguous is impossible. Everything outside of our minds cannot be judged, and be taken as fact. It's all opinion.
You are also right that not all women thrive off drama. I tend to forget that I am generalising an idea. Sorry.
To sum it up, I think of it as pathetic. However, it is not a practice I would outlaw.

i actually dug up this ethics handbook i have lying around and it doesn't really refer to porn directly but since it is not included in its list of acts that are unethical in and of themselves (murder, torture etc.) it remains a debate that is mostly based off of cultural values which are subject to constant change.
