i wish i had someone to hug now :/
my girlfriend is mad at me...
and she says i know why
and i dont
i seriously have no idea why shes mad at me :(
she just told me out of nowhere yesterday that shes mad at me...

Typicalanonymous responds:

Okay, go down the check list.

Have you cheated on her? (I assume you are a trustworthy fellow, I'll check this off)
Have you been an asshole?
Have you said some sexist remark?
Have you forgotten something important for her? (anniversary?)
Have you been mean to one of her friends?
Have you discluded her from anything?
Have you not been talking to her enough/ignoring her?

If you say no to all those questions, then I can't help you dude. =/

ViperViper

2011-12-10 21:28:19

no. i would never dream of cheating on her.
no. i dont act like an asshole to really anyone.
no. i dont make sexist remarks to anyone either.
no. i always remember anniversaries.
no. im never mean to her friends.
no. i include her in whatever it is im doing.
no. i talk to her all day...

Typicalanonymous responds:

Hmmm..... I don't know buddy. *internet hug* (They're not the same....)

ViperViper

2011-12-10 21:55:34

well at least its something i guess...

Typicalanonymous responds:

Well, you could always ask. (I know that's probably not the best course of action.)

ViperViper

2011-12-11 00:04:18

well ya see...i have
and when i did she got madder and told me i should know why shes mad at me..

Typicalanonymous responds:

=( Idk then...

@typical *virtual hug*
@viper i gave a similar list to xellon once and it didn't help either
assuming you havent done any of the obvious things think back to when she got angry and whatever innocuous remark you made right before she got mad dissect it from a more feminine angle and i guarentee you'll be angry at yourself too.
facebook and twitter also help, check the newsfeeds around that time

Virtual hug sent. The world as a whole appreciates your gratitude. (I don't really know why I responded so strangely)

ViperViper

2011-12-11 00:33:38

okay i'll try to look back and figure out what i did that made her mad
i would more than likely be mad at myself when i find out what i did

i dont do twitter...
and neither of us talk much on Facebook

ViperViper

2011-12-11 00:39:07

and we were talking on msn when she got mad at me...
and i like looking back at our conversations that we have sometimes cause most of the stuff makes me smile
but me being the idiot i am...forgot to click to save our conversations on there...
so now i REALLY have to think about what the hell i did that made her mad
if i remembered to save our conversations that time i would have found out and then id know what i did that made her mad at me...

Typicalanonymous responds:

Maybe we should as a group consult biblio to delve into the deep mysteries of female minds.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 00:54:07

hmm that would help out a great deal in the future...

Typicalanonymous responds:

I honestly think I will never understand though. Talking to my sister about her friends, then her enemies, then the people that act nice to her, but she knows are evil, and then people she hates without giving me a reason, sheesh. No way.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 01:24:17

well it would still help if we tried to understand them...
at least a little more than we do already

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-11 01:26:50

i'd give it my best shot but generally it's fairly easy (i hope) for the men in my life to figure out why i'm mad and when i became mad. lrgely because it involves lots of yelling at them in whatever language seems most appropriate. and on some occasions threats of physical violence unless they take something back.
but generally that takes a comment like "women are naturally weaker than men" or "[my ex] was gorgeous" or "I want to watch nascar" which are obviously awful things to say.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 01:34:29

well i wish i could remember what i did that made her mad...
she wont tell me anything and just tells me i should know why shes mad
and i dont watch nascar or really any sports so that wouldnt apply to me...nascar is just driving REALLY fast and making left turns

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-11 01:36:37

i hate left turns

ViperViper

2011-12-11 01:46:34

im okay with them
but not while going super fast
cause i dont drive REALLY fast
the fastest i have EVER driven is about 75-80 mph and 50 mph in town cause i had to pick up my brother from school and i hate doing that and i wanted to scare him by swerving around and driving kinda fast around town

2011-12-11 13:34:32

More of this? Why don't you get a girlfriend?

Typicalanonymous responds:

Cause I love hugs. From everyone. I'm that kinda kid. =3

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-11 15:32:22

@ tlg what do you mean by "more of this" and who should get a girlfriend? cause vipers got one, i don't want one and i haven't seen much evidence of typical having a close relationship with any particular female which could turn into a relationship of a romantic nature.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 15:33:05

hey who knows
maybe he does have a girlfriend
have any of us asked him?

The-Last-GuardianThe-Last-Guardian

2011-12-11 15:51:58

A girlfriend that approves of his computer being filled with this....
Strange.

Typicalanonymous responds:

Filled is a harsh term. I do have SOME stuff in my computer that is fine. =)

ViperViper

2011-12-11 16:10:04

strange yes
impossible?
its plausible
but not entirely impossible

(Updated ) Typicalanonymous responds:

My friend, who has some pretty strange... preferences dated a girl who knew about it for about a year. And he's into some weirder anime stuff than I am. (Sorry if I scarred you a little bit. =P)

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-11 16:49:19

oh so you were talking about typical and his anatomically incorrect drawings
honestly i assume all of this must be hidden in a folder labled "extra dull number sequences" or something like that and would never be shown to potential girlfriends.
also, i think most girls assume that men spend all their time online looking at porn and playing fantasy football anyway

Typicalanonymous responds:

Woah! I get back, and you guys have been talking about me. =P If you must know, I do have a semi-girlfriend, but she sadly lives in New Jersey, and only comes down on the holidays and some of the summer, because her dad's house is here. We've only been "dating" for about a month now, despite no real contact aside from facebook, although we both knew we liked each other way before that. Both of us are just timid, I suppose. I know I am. As far as her personality goes, it's weird. we are like the exact same person, in terms of beliefs, political opinion, hobbies, everything. She loves Disney movies.

She knows I'm into anime and stuff, but honestly she's not around enough for the ecchi to come up as a topic. I mean, chatting online would be weird: "Hey, did you know I have approximately 700 pictures of scantily clad anime women that I've been accumulating over the past year?" (By the way, it's actually not really concealed at all. It sorted and to get to it you have to go into a few folders, but that's just me organizing things)

Eh, it doesn't really concern me that much. What will be will be.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 16:51:10

but i dont do either of those...

Typicalanonymous responds:

If you have NEVER looked at porn, then you must be a man among men.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 18:50:53

i dont look at it really ever
i may have once or twice but other than that nope

Typicalanonymous responds:

That's very impressive, I'll have you know.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 18:55:59

really?

Typicalanonymous responds:

Seriously, yes. Every single person I know, girls included, has looked at it at least once.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 18:58:32

well i was just now standing on an empty root beer can without it getting crushed

Typicalanonymous responds:

I love it when that happens. I then really slowly lean down and tap the side, and it instantly crushes. It, if nothing else, brings a smile to my face. =D

ViperViper

2011-12-11 18:59:13

i know my girlfriend has...
shes told me more than once
she watches it cause she thinks its funny

The-Last-GuardianThe-Last-Guardian

Pornography sickens me. I'm actually fairly surprised that people spend money on that. Hentai is vile as well. And don't even mention the more bizarre things. They are disgusting. I can tolerate nude art and almost nude women, as long as it isn't displayed in a sexual manner. For real, apparently pornographers are instructed to act like whores in videos. I cannot believe people are attracted to this.

Typicalanonymous responds:

Each to their own, I suppose...

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-11 22:32:53

well...i've seen it as have most if not all of my friends
porn i find to be nothing more than a caricature of sex.
i do not find sex itself repulsive
for me the only difference between watching an adult film and a blank wall is the level of awkwardness should someone walk into the room
therefore i spend a lot more time watching blank walls than pornos

Typicalanonymous responds:

And now I have an image of someone coming in a room to see you having a stare-down with a wall, and then slowly walk out to not disturb your wall gazing.

ViperViper

2011-12-11 22:59:45

dude i was imaging that too O:

and i used to have staring contests with walls...
dont ask how
but i won once

Typicalanonymous responds:

And now I imagine what a wall blink would look like.

The-Last-GuardianThe-Last-Guardian

2011-12-11 23:13:14

To be quite frank, pornography is a waste of time. Breeding should not be complex, and it shouldn't interesting either. I do not understand why people choose to think of it as so.

Typicalanonymous responds:

Well, you have to include the whole intimacy thing in that. If sex was just about the good feeling, no one would care about sex, if they could just off themselves whenever. No, sex with another person is also fulfilling on so many emotional levels.

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-11 23:49:45

well humans are one of the few creatures that have sex for pleasure
so, while i have never thought of sex as particularly interesting, it is enjoyable and just like chocolate or sleep or ski vacations and most people wish to have more of it
and similar to the way i cannot go skiing this winter, there are men and women all over the world who want to have sex but for whatever reason cannot find a partner
porn, just like sledding is their not quite as great as the real thing back up plan

(Updated ) Typicalanonymous responds:

On the subject of chocolate... That stuff is fucking delicious.

The-Last-GuardianThe-Last-Guardian

The males never preform their labors correctly anyways. That usually why it bores the ladies.

Typicalanonymous responds:

That make me laugh out loud for some odd reason.

ViperViper

2011-12-12 18:58:25

i know its weird...
and i laughed too when i read what The-Last-Guardian wrote

InsanctuaryInsanctuary

2011-12-12 19:58:58

No. The Last Guardian. Who are you to say what is sick and vile? Of course it is twisted in some manner but I mean.. hentai is an art that derives from the sensual desires of our imaginative realm. It appears to be in our language, but it's not. It's an illusion, and everything we feel from these pictures or porn videos is because it's a connection we can relate to from within. Perhaps is not 'holy' enough. Perhaps it's not 'pure'. What do you wish to call it then? When there will always be perversion in our world. Sex is natural. Expressing it in different forms is also natural. I don't care what people want to do inside their head, it's when they provoke it in our reality that I question based off what they do.

Viper: I hope you realise that women thrive off drama.

Typicalanonymous responds:

I agree is some aspect to your statement, but I really just feel I can some it up in "each to his/her own," meaning while some people look at abstract art and see a beautiful masterpiece, and some just see a smear of paint.

And not all women. Not the ones I know and love.

mybibliophilemybibliophile

2011-12-12 22:18:37

it scares me that you edited your response
i have no idea what it said before you edited it but the rest of the world does
way to amp up my paranoia

also, typical, we sort of do
I know when i get bored I'm a lot more likely to pick fights (verbal not physical)
it's like...a compulsion

Typicalanonymous responds:

I think I left out a word... I do that a lot. And I am sure you are quite the fearsome opponent. =P

ViperViper

2011-12-12 22:44:05

so im listening to progressive metal...
oh and my girlfriend isn't mad at me anymore :D
which is awesome

Typicalanonymous responds:

*high five*

InsanctuaryInsanctuary

2011-12-12 23:21:33

Yes. I do agree with that everyone sees different things. I was directing alot of that towards Guardian. He calls it 'vile' and 'disgusting' which borderlines 'inhumane'. When it's not inhumane and judging something so ambiguous is impossible. Everything outside of our minds cannot be judged, and be taken as fact. It's all opinion.

You are also right that not all women thrive off drama. I tend to forget that I am generalising an idea. Sorry.

The-Last-GuardianThe-Last-Guardian

2011-12-12 23:37:01

To sum it up, I think of it as pathetic. However, it is not a practice I would outlaw.

i actually dug up this ethics handbook i have lying around and it doesn't really refer to porn directly but since it is not included in its list of acts that are unethical in and of themselves (murder, torture etc.) it remains a debate that is mostly based off of cultural values which are subject to constant change.

The-Last-GuardianThe-Last-Guardian

2011-12-16 10:32:18

No, let me simplify this: "I am surprised that people actually do spend their money this sort of material. It's a bit unexpected."
