Well, if we are speaking of the lyrics, that seems a little narrow, no? Love and death; wrath and power; gods and peasants covers not many songs.
Not so cool with screamo, more of an alternative rock person, smattering of singer/songwriter, like things with a good bass line, intelligent lyrics, or just that goosebumpy quality. Let's see I saw a gears of war commercial with the song Heron Blue in it so thats what's in my head right now, I'm quite ok with that. Have an absurd fondness for brit rock type stuff, periods of times when I like more folksy (not to be confused with country) stuff, classic rock is never bad, and i fantasize about shooting elvis costello in the face because that whiney nasaly melodic peppy thing he does makes me mad. I do have to recommend listening to one of those rap around the world type videos on youtube regardless of if you like rap or not.
Never. Rap irritates me in a way un-fathomable to man.
The point is that trying to watch say...a Vietnamese man rapping with an accoustic guitar and a button down shirt is...well...really funny (no offense to the guy whose music video I'm thinking of). Or the italian dude with his big fuzzy graying beard....it's great.
That twould be... Strange, to say the least.
